Rebekah Clarke

Special interest in supporting Children and Adolecence

Rebekah has extensive experience with children and young people with a range of difficulties. Rebekah uses a range of play based therapy skills to engage and interest children. She respects their innate desire to move their bodies and incorporates movement into sessions. Rebekah has facilitated programs for children with a focus on mindfulness, emotion regulation and social and emotional development. She is particularly interested in how trauma impacts on the developing brain and rebuilding parent-child attachment following adverse life events. Rebekah’s interest area is providing support and intervention to mothers particularly with perinatal or postnatal concerns. Rebekah is passionate about helping new mothers to develop insight into patterns of parenting and attachment that no longer serve them or their child. Once these are discovered, the parent can develop new ways of being with their child and nurture and appreciate the phase of life they are in.
